About Rotary Club Of Belize Sunrise
The Rotary Club of Belize Sunrise was chartered in 2007 and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Belize. As of today, we have completed over 9 years of service with an energetic, diverse group of just under 30 members, and are one of ten clubs located throughout Belize. Belize Rotary Clubs are part of the Rotary District 4250, which includes Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize. We are all proud of the service we do in our communities and country by way of commitments made by individual members to vocational and club projects.
Club members can participate in any of our six avenues of service – Service Projects, Fundraising, The Rotary Foundation, Membership, Club Administration, and Public Relations. Fundraising forms a vital part of Rotary service. The funds raised within the community are channeled towards the many projects planned by the club. As a group, the club takes charge of this task collectively. Despite the challenges of raising money within a community where large entities are few, our club has been successful and we have achieved much during the past nine years, from renovating schools and libraries, to donating computers and medical equipment and supplies. We continue seeking new avenues to facilitate larger projects in the future which will be ventured for the community’s benefit.
Members of our club connect at our weekly breakfast meetings at Belize Biltmore Plaza, to discuss activities and learn from other business experts and community leaders, who help us stay informed on topics that are relevant to our community. There are also committee meetings, social events, and international gatherings. Many Rotarians are additionally involved in special projects that fall outside of the organization’s umbrella and bring their expertise and knowledge to the club.
As a club, we are committed to working to serve our community, and we have a lot of fun, whether we’re socializing or working together on service projects. Together we make great things happen by focusing on action and positive results.

We carry out service projects that enhance economic and community development and create opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old. We also strengthen local entrepreneurs and community leaders, particularly women, in impoverished communities.
